Minigames
Battlefield, Battle Royale and how to play each.
Minigames
Minecraft Breakdown runs two minigames, Battlefield and Battle Royale, both joined through signs at spawn. Minigames are not permanently available; they rotate in and out, and they're sometimes tied to active missions or tasks. Each game runs in its own dimension and has no interaction with the main server.
Battlefield
Battlefield is a two-team objective mode. Teams compete to capture control points and rack up kills. A round starts once four players have joined the lobby. There are four classes:
Assault
Carries a Revive Tool and a Med Bag. The Revive Tool brings a downed teammate back to life when you right-click their corpse, and works up to twice per player. The Med Bag heals you or nearby allies through a slow regeneration effect; right-clicking with it places it on the ground and creates an area-of-effect heal around it.
Recon
Carries a Detection Tool and a Respawn Flag. The Detection Tool can be placed anywhere; it beeps idly, and grows louder as enemies approach; the closer they get, the more obvious the alert. The Respawn Flag is also placeable, and lets you and squadmates respawn on it from the death screen, provided the flag's owner is in your squad.
Support
Carries an Ammo Bag, explosives and placeable LMGs. The Ammo Bag is dropped by right-clicking, and right-clicking it again whilst placed refills your inventory's ammo, explosives and class-specific gear.
Engineer
Carries a Rocket Launcher and a Blowtorch. The Rocket Launcher destroys enemy vehicles. The Blowtorch repairs allied vehicles and damages enemy ones.
Progression
You unlock attachments for a specific weapon by using that weapon in Battlefield. Playing matches earns Battlefield Experience and levels. Levelling up grants your second weapon upgrade across all classes, and gaining experience whilst playing a particular class unlocks better weapons for that class specifically.
Battle Royale
Battle Royale drops everyone onto a single map and runs until one player remains. A match starts once at least two players have joined the lobby. Players board a Chinook automatically, which flies a randomised path across the map. Hold the crouch key to eject from the helicopter, then right-click with your parachute before hitting the ground to avoid fall damage.
On landing, you scavenge chests for armour, weapons, explosives and ammunition. Teaming is not permitted; only one player can win. Occasionally a match runs in Hardcore mode, which disables F5 third-person view.
